My Hobby - Pottery

 

A few months ago, I have learned pottery.

Now, I take a break for a while for some reasons.

I'm often thinking of pottery class and people,

and I realize a preciousness of hobby. 

 

I found some photos of an exhibition of pottery.

It was a collaboration with ceramists and food stylists.

 

 

 

The gray part is made by my pottey teacher.

She doesn't teach any more for her new life.

I miss her so much and wish her happiness with new family.

ART - ASYAAF

 

Yesterday, I went an exhibition 'ASYAAF'.

It's an Asian young artists festival.

They are amatuers yet, some artists' works are great like a professional artist. 

Among them, there will be super aritists someday.

 

I love to feel their fresh energy! :)

 

 

 

Summer Vacation 1

Last month, I traveled 'TongYeong',which is located in southern sea of Korea. It is small city, but very beautiful!

There are lots of small islands with blue sea.

There is pretty village called 'Dongpirang'.

I like to take a walk to enjoy with mural paintings.

And this city is famous with traditional crafts.

Especially, Lacquerware with mother of pearl! 

This night view 'Tongyeong's painting is made by mother of pearl!

It is very beautiful and brilliant in person.

This city is famous of oyster.

It is a oyster bibimbop(rice food), and I miss the smell of sea.

Next time, I will update my summer vacation 2 in my hometown.
(I have to find the photos... they went where??? --;)

Some weeks ago, I visited one of my favorite place,'Bukchon'.
It means nothern village and it is around the Changdeok palace.
(I will introduce this beautiful palace later. maybe autumn!)

There are lots of traditional ateliers of Korean crafts, and I love their unique atmosphere. It is located in the middle of Seoul, but I cannot feel any something crowded, noisy, cold... of modern big city. 

The weather was very mellow like old movie.
The sky was deep grayish, so it looks very well with Korean traditional house.(The roof tile is deep grayish!)

I visited work houses of traditional wooden doors and windows, embroidery and gilding. Enjoy my little picutures! :)

Calliope - Creation

It is not easy to create something special ; too many thinking, sketches, samples...and efforts.
But it excites me so much, the best reason why I choose my job.
